New polling from The New York Times and Siena College show Kamala Harris making substantial gains in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada and North Carolina, important swing states that seemed to be under Trump’s grip simply a few weeks back. The MaddowBlog’s Steve Benen goes over why these numbers need to make Republicans worried and the reasons Trump’s campaign seems smacking. They also review Benen’s brand-new book, “Ministry of Truth,” which discovers GOP attempts to reword the tales of the recent past and the repercussions it’s carrying freedom. “They’re doing this purposefully in a manner that undercuts freedom and makes the political system itself unable to operate because individuals aren’t in a position to separate truth from fiction,” Benen alerts.
