Quanell X's Powerful Rebuttal: Addressing the Hate Accusations

Quanell X didn’t hesitate. “Of course not,” he declared, dispelling any

notion of harboring hatred towards white people. He countered by pointing out that he criticizes Black people just as fiercely, emphasizing that he doesn’t hate his own community. Is it possible to critique a group without hating its members? Quanell X believes so.

He further acknowledged the existence of “brilliant, good white people” who reject prejudice and actively work towards a just America. He stated that some white people are sincere about making America just for everybody and God is using those same white people to do good in this country. For him, condemning such individuals based solely on their skin color would be utterly unjust. “What the hell do I look like condemning that man or woman for their skin color when their character their work and their behavior is that of a righteous human being?” he asked, underscoring his point.

The Root of the Problem: It's Not Skin Color, It's the Mindset

Quanell X then shifted the focus to the core of his criticism: the ideology of white supremacy. This is where his perspective becomes clear. He draws inspiration from the teachings of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, who emphasized that hate consumes the hater, and stated “Brother hate consumes the hater as well as the hate.” Quanell X explained that his issue isn’t with the color of someone’s skin, which they can’t control, but with the belief system that elevates one race above others. “I ain’t got no problem with that ladies and gentlemen ladies and gentlemen the leader of the new Black Panther Party new Black Panther Nation the new black The New Black Panther Nation how come you said nation instead of party Dr khaled Abdul Muhammad was handed the reigns my late teacher of the new black panther party and after his death shortly thereafter I started the New Black Panther Nation” he stated when talking about the New Black Panther Nation.

Examples of White Supremacy's Harmful Effects

To illustrate the tangible effects of this mindset, Quanell X provided several specific examples:

  • Tarzan in the Jungle: This classic narrative, often presented as harmless entertainment, reinforces the idea of a white character dominating a Black space. It subtly teaches children that white individuals are inherently superior and more capable, even in environments where they are outsiders.
  • Buckwheat Stereotype: The portrayal of Black characters in media, particularly in older sitcoms, often relies on demeaning stereotypes. Characters like Buckwheat are presented as intellectually inferior and objects of ridicule, perpetuating harmful and inaccurate representations of Black people.
  • Natural Hair Discrimination: The pressure on Black women to conform to white beauty standards is a direct result of white supremacist thinking. The idea that natural hair is unprofessional or unattractive forces Black women to spend significant time and money altering their appearance to fit into a mold that was not created for them. “I got a problem with the mindset that taught black children for decades that Tarzan ran the jungle,” Quanell X passionately stated. He continued, “I got a problem with the mindset that you give us a child sitcom and the only black person on it is Buck Wheet who is so damn mentally dead that you make fun of him as a character.” These examples highlight how deeply ingrained white supremacist thinking is in society and how it manifests in various forms of discrimination and prejudice.

Defining the Enemy: White Supremacy vs. White People

Quanell X makes it clear that his opposition lies with a specific ideology, not with individual white people. He reiterated his love for “God-fearing righteous white people,” emphasizing that he doesn’t hate people for their skin color. The problem, as he sees it, is the “mindset that has poisoned certain people.” This distinction is crucial. It invites us to consider the difference between criticizing a system and hating individuals. Can we challenge harmful ideologies without resorting to hatred?

The New Black Panther Nation: Continuing the Legacy

Quanell X is the leader of the New Black Panther Nation. This organization continues the work of Dr. Khaled Abdul Muhammad, Quanell X’s late teacher. After Dr. Muhammad’s passing, Quanell X took over the reigns, emphasizing the importance of adhering to Dr. Muhammad’s “manual,” which he described as the bible of the New Black Panther Party. “The greatest mistake that we made after Dr college transition is the party went away from the manual which was the bible of the new black panther party that he left in place,” Quanell X explained. He stressed that deviating from this foundational document led to a loss of direction and structure. Do you know the history of Ibrahim Traore’s Urgent Message?
